I had an interview for an internal position with Deloitte earlier this week that I think went very well. I'm curious what sort of timeline I should expect (generally) for further communication and any other interviews. I had an interview elsewhere today that I'm confident will result in an offer but i would definitely prefer the D role. Trying to determine if I need to try and slow down the other folks to buy more time.

I am interviewing for a paralegal/legal assistant position and coming from the insurance underwriting field. About to get promoted at PwC from Associate to Senior Associate (mgmt consulting). I interviewed at Deloitte for a Consultant position, but they’re potentially giving me an offer for BA. I’d essentially be holding out on the promo until next promo cycle. Usually, I’d understand hiring at a level below for higher levels but I feel like doing a 3rd year as a junior might not be the best decision. Should I push HR for Consultant level? I haven’t gotten the official offer letter yet, just verbal.
