Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.
I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.
The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.
Thoughts?

Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones?

It sounds like they’re making a genuine effort to find a role within the company that would be a good fit for you. I’d suggest going through the interview process and hearing what they have to say. Salaries are negotiable, so you’re not locking yourself into a lower salary just by interviewing.
First of all, everyone gets lowballed, at least at the outset. That's just part of the game. It's unclear if you've actually gotten an offer. If you have, make a counteroffer and take it from there.
That can be a reasonable attempt to keep you in process, but it’s only a good deal if that junior role is either a quick stepping stone with a clear path up, or in a company/industry that meaningfully levels you up. If the pay goes backwards and there’s no fast path back to your previous level or better, it’s fine to see that as a lowball and pass.
