Send thank you notes and apologize/explain what happened. Don’t grovel. A simple apology and simple explanation is sufficient. Express your enthusiasm for the role and company.
That is rough! Hopefully your interviewer is sympathetic and humble because that can happen to anyone! You followed up and sent the apology /explanation so there is not much more you can do now but wait to se if you progress to the next steps. Good luck and fingers crossed!
Rising Star
This is one of those situations where everyone understands... but it still tends to leave people unsure. It is sort of like missing an interview because there was an accident and the traffic was bad.
Hopefully, the interview went well enough that it isn't a problem, but if you are a "maybe" it might hurt you.
I wfh for Deloitte and experience connection issues during calls from time to time. If they are professional, they’ll understand. Love the idea of sending a thank you email and explaining the connection issue. Don’t grovel, but just let them know what happened. Good luck!
