I had H1B from 2018–2021 (2.5 yrs), left the US, and am now job hunting. A new employer can file cap‑exempt for my remaining time. But since I’m currently abroad with no valid H1B, does the $100k fee still apply despite being cap‑exempt? Or is cap‑exempt status an exception?

Has anyone recently done visa stamping in India (Mumbai center) through Dropbox? My appointment is in 3 weeks and I heard of one occurrence in Mumbai where the candidate was delayed by 2 weeks (still waiting for his papers).

HELP PLEASE!!! Long story short. Canadian candidate got verbal offer last wk from US comp with idea I'd move to US on TN. This wk, hr calls me and says after checking, immigration team advised against TN. Hr will now see if it'd possible to bring me on via CAN office. If not, they won't be able give me a formal offer.

Key info: hiring team has a close relationship with CAN office.

Is this something they can solve for? Any insights appreciated! This is a dream job and i want this to work!!!
