I haven’t signed the back of a credit card in years
I neither sign my cards nor write see ID and now I’m questioning why it’s even there. Clearly no one has cared who is swiping my card.
She was right, the agreements are between the card company and the merchants. What you put on the card means squat.
Write “see ID” and see how many people actually ask for your ID. I will be amazed if it’s more than 1% of the time you use the card.

Ok so to this point, I very rarely ever get asked for my ID. So I suppose it doesn’t matter if I sign or not.
And I’m speaking from experience, my identity has been stolen 3 times. Easy to prove not me when they see signatures.
Criminals are boomers that don’t shop online or use self-checkout or get delivery.

Had a colleague who did the "ask for id". In 3 years, she was only asked once.
Yes. Make it harder to forge

So put your signature or write “see ID”?

The only time anyone ever checked was this asshole Swiss in Lausanne who gave me shit for not having it signed
Legally, there just needs to be something there. For example if you refused to sign a credit card receipt, and just put a line this is still considered a signature. My business law professor said that was why credit card fraud is so hard to get out of. Amazing I remember this from 18 years ago. Lol
Not true, the agreement varies from card to card and is pushed down to the merchant. If the merchant doesn’t follow the agreement with the card vendor they can lose the value of the non-conforming transaction.
