I have 60,000 rupees to save per month. How should I invest to get maximum returns. I am not an aggresive investor and my horizon is 10 years. Also I need mixture of fixed income and equity mix.

PPF, 7 10% fixed Returns
Nifty and Gold should give good returns in 10 year! (Gold Price never goes down)
Mutual Funds should will double your investment in 10 years
Stocks depends on where you invest, some risk is involved. But you can take this risk!

Received a job offer. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on a concern I had about it. It's an entry level position, and I don't have much experience. The billables are 2040 a year. For billable hours in civil litigation and insurance defense, is 2040 hours for a 1st year associate on the high end in this field for a small or midsize firm? It seems like most attorneys I know have minimum requirements of around 1800. The compensation is around 80k a year.

Scenarios like this leads the candidates to think that it's completely ok to have 2-3 offers in order to be safe.
