If you can’t sell yourself and your skills then yes you’re correct your experience means little.
Usually interviews aren't about skillet, if you didn't have the skills and or potential then you wouldn't get an interview. When you get interviews, it is typically more about assessing personality fit within the current company culture. Now if you are getting to that point, then and not getting moved further into the process then need to work on practicing interviewing and how to present your personality in an agreeable manner to the team.
Networking is key. Make friends with someone who can get you a lunch date with someone on the inside.
Try asking recruiters why you were not selected and advice they can share for future interviews. Good luck
