I have a boutique IB analyst offer on the table but I can’t really tell if it’s worth it. Offer is $100k base, no bonus, commute is ~35 miles each way for 3 days a week, and hours expectation is ~60 hours a week.

I have 1yr public audit, 1.5yrs FDD experience, and CPA licensed, so I am grateful for the fact that I was even selected to interview in the first place with little direct m&a experience. But I just don’t know if this is the best direction. Does the future look brighter if I take this?

What are some of the best consulting firms for a software engineer? Is MBB still considered elite in this area too?

One suggestion, we had new team build 2 years back. All persons have left , only I am left with current project. even I resigned in Dec but got retained.
