Hi fellow creatives! I’m looking for any and all kinds of creative people to participate in a research study!
www.creativitystudy.com
I’m a creativity researcher working on my dissertation on the psychology & neuroscience of creativity. I’m interested in understanding how different types of creative careers, side hustles, and artistic outlets relate to our emotions, mental health, & well-being. Ultimately to help build awareness, resources, & improve the lives of creative people.

Love that! I’m not in that boat but excited for you!
Excellent! Thanks very much (:
I’ve bounced back and forth freelancing at agencies and in-house.
Almost all of my agency work is marketing campaigns.
But being in-house I’ve often been more of a generalist - working on branding (design), campaigns and products. I think it’s because in-house marketing roles are less rigidly defined or specialized.
Often the in-house job titles don’t correlate directly to those used in the agency world and sometimes internal clients aren’t really aware of the distinction between say, an advertising AD and a UI visual designer or (unfortunately) a PowerPoint presentation designer.
My advice is to leverage this kind of role ambiguity to try to get involved in projects that will diversify your portfolio and skill set but steer clear of doing PowerPoint templates.
