An interview for a potential employee? I would ask a lot of questions about cultural fit. You don't really need to worry about assessing their skills and competence, I'm sure your managers will do that. But I would ask questions to see whether this is someone you want to work with.
Are you interviewing or are you being interviewed?
OP, you mean that somebody you’d be working with is interviewing you is that correct?
Don’t worry about them, not liking you worry about them thinking that you’re not fit for the role. And you have to treat it like every other interview. The difference is this person is doing the actual work or is very close to the work. You can talk about culture, you can talk about workload for sure, You can also talk about how the work gets to your area or through your area.
Prepare for a regular interview, but the questions may be a little bit more pointed on how your experience actually fits into the work.
What is a peer interview?
Agree. Conducting stay interviews or even exit interviews rarely reveal anything different than other internal surveys. It keeps the HR department busy.
