I have been applying for a couple of jobs some contract work as well. I came across a job posting and the interesting part of it is that the recruiter included notes from the hiring manager about who their ideal candidate would be. Take a look and tell me if this is not job discrimination happening. It looks the hiring manager of this big pharmaceutical company does not want any candidate with job gaps or someone who is currently unemployed. So if you were laid off don't bother!

Throwing this out there. My company was recently acquired and I was laid off yesterday. I’m currently 6m pregnant so looking for a company that isn’t going to have a problem with my giving birth in 3m (looking for a miracle). 13 YOE in Marketing (Brand, Digital, Product, Ops). You name it, I’ve probably done it. Team management exp but not required in next role. Just looking for 100% remote, flexibility, and company that puts families first and won’t give me a hard time about doctor appts 🙏🏻

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

How is it that every company complains they can’t find workers yet 9/10 posts on linked in the last few weeks are all about layoffs? And just taking a look at the jobs in your are…why does every job suck and want to pay you 45k?

Was laid off in Sept. Unfortunately we will be seeing many more coming. It's what happens in a recession. Unfortunately I now also have my age against me. Not in a mentally good place at the moment.

Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.

Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. I’m a CRC who manages Investigator- led clinical research projects and I want to transition to a PM role in industry (I would slightly prefer not a PM role in clinical trials since I don’t have clinical trial experience.) I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role? Any good startups to consider? Anyone have any insight or advice?

They responded back telling me that they’ll have an update for me the next week. Again I emailed them on Thursday asking if they have anything for me before the long weekend ( Good Friday & Easter).
