All these pictures of people using their kids as props for parental leave, or how their kid has a disorder and how proud they are? I just came across a post that was a woman lying next to her mom who had *literally* just died. I feel a little cold hearted saying it, but it is so over the top on what is supposed to be a professional network. Am I just totally out of touch?

My dad is dying of cancer. It’s been a slow progression the past few years since his initial diagnosis, but his health has severely declined the last couple months and now he doesn’t have much longer (doctors say it could be a matter of weeks). It’s been really hard juggling work and family lately. I’m trying my best but am just feeling very stressed. A close friend confided in me that she has cheated in all her previous relationships and struggles to understand the reasoning behind it. She feels a lot of shame and is trying to understand why she does what she does.I have suggested therapy but she is not ready yet. How did you folks arrive at the root cause behind your behavior? Advice? Book suggestions that I can pass along?

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

Any advice for a couple where one person runs really warm and the other has a cooler body temperature - how do you manage this while sleeping? I feel my body produces a lot of heat. How do you feel about splitting everything 50-50 with your partner? I don’t feel as rigid about it bc I feel it balances out one way or another, but my partner feels as if he owes me if we don’t split 50-50 and I pay more. I get where he’s coming from but 50-50 just feels transactional and not intimate.
