I have been searching for a job for awhile now but get rejected or ghosted after an interview. I don’t get it. I’ve polished up my resume multiple times and had other review it and tell me it’s great. What is going on? I feel like my Resumes are not being looked at by a real person. I’ve done HIM in hospital settings for 11 years. Due to the commute, getting married and my mom had a stroke so I help on weekends, I had to leave my job to be closer to home. I’m having the worst luck.

At what point is too much prep?? I think reading about how grueling the Amazon interview process is has sent me into a spiral lol. Interview is tomorrow and can someone just tell me it really isn’t as bad as everyone says it is??! 😂😭

First round cleared in november 2021, then HR called after 2 months for second round in Jan 22, now discusses the salary after 2-3 weeks and then again says to get back.

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?

My fiancé and I (ages 30 and 31) are about to buy a house. We would put down 10% for a 835k purchase price. Our combined income is $265k. We both have around 7-10k left in emergency funds (each) and combined about 200k for retirement. Our mortgage is $4,500 a month and we split a car payment for $800. Is this an okay financial decision or should we have bought a cheaper house/saved more?

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? Our employee satisfaction survey is tied to our performance goals. Meaning, if we rate management badly, we cannot meet 10% of our goals which in turn affects our bonuses and raises.
