I have cleared the HSBC interviews and had the salary discussion with the HR (had some back and forth) and agreed on the amount she proposed.
Had submitted the documents etc. The HSBC portal status on thst day was 'Application in progress'. However next day it has changed to 'Application under review'. HR has not responded as well when the offer letter will be released.

Can anyone guide on what these portal statuses mean and if I should still be hopeful of getting the offer letter.

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great! Turns out the salary and benefits were meant as lowkey bribes to insure I worked at the company without actually doing any work. Copywriter with serious imposter syndrome at new job! How do senior writers up their game? Was in-house 1.5 years and underpaid in NYC. With only previous freelance experience (and nonprofit and grant writing before that) figured I had to slog through it for years. Cut to now, 6 months into a new copywriting role at huge tech company. My salary almost quintupled overnight. I think I’m doing great, but that depends on the day and who I work with (no other writers by the way).
