If you're consistently getting that close, it's not about your qualifications. It might come down to something subtle in how you close the interview or how you align with their last-minute “ideal.” Maybe try asking for really honest post-interview feedback. You’re clearly doing so much right, sometimes it’s just rotten luck or timing.
The feedback I’ve gotten so far,
they went with some with more years experience ( then why waste my time, it’s clear the years of experience I have on my Cv).
The position is no longer available… can we get back to you in 6 months.
Everyone loved you, you did great, but we hired internally.
Other than that I have ben ghosted
The silver lining is that you are doing something right to get that far in the process, without feedback it can be really hard to know what happened. If it's something that you could work on to improve or somebody else just had a little bit extra something to give. Really hoping for you because I know it’s hard getting close but not quite there!
I get the feedback and it’s usually not constructive enough! It’s always positive just they went with more experienced or hired internally .. what am I supposed to do with that.?
