I had my interview with Cognizant last month. HR round and salary discussion was completed on 27th September. The HR said offer letter would be released within 2weeks. Now it's already 2weeks. But I didn't hear back from the HR. What shall I do?Accenture Accenture India Tata Consultancy Capgemini

Why? Just do it girl. Zero f^**s to give. Are they giving you money to upkeep your hair ? No so do as you please mamas
This was gonna be my next response lol
Put them in a bun
Why? I worked at a white shoe law firm and wore braids regularly.
My experience was great. I left because RTO doesn’t align with how I live my life. But they would take me back today if I called them.
I wear them all the time. Senior about to be promoted to manager
Yeah, why? I wear butt length braids all the time…half up, half down, in a bun, all down. It’s all professional. Whatever. These white people aren’t about to worry me about my appearance.
Thanks y’all 🫶🏾 I think the main reason is I’m the only person of color in my office so it’s always a big ordeal every time I change my look.
I definitely get this because it happens to me as well. Idk why they always have to make a big deal 😐 but I don’t let it stop me from wearing my hair however I feel like wearing it!
Agree with the comments, and I wear braids (box braids, twists) all the time (financial services).
What do y'all think about wearing cornrows to work though?
I have anxiety more so when I change my look versus the braids itself. I wear braids a lot so when I do wear my hair naturally curly, I get nervous but I think people are smart enough to not say anything at this point lol.
Wear your hair however you want! I change my hair all the time. I wear all kids of braids (box braids, cornrows, twists) and sew ins, too. Right now, I have a honey blonde bob. Before this, I had an extended sleek pony. I work at the biggest law firm in my city where there are hardly any black professionals. Only two black lawyers out of over 200. I’m the only black person in my group and only black para at the firm. Do you!
Is it the overall aesthetic or the length that is the issue for you? I wear braids exclusively and I’ve worked in big law for many years.
Red and past butt isn’t very professional. Try black/brown and mid back length
My response won't be popular but dress for your environment. If your intuition is telling you that you work for super conservative and potentially racist folk, then don't wear the braids. If it's only your fear, then test them out and see the reactions in the office. I personally believe that we should align to the culture of the companies we work for when it comes to dress. And unless you want to fight that battle and impact on your reputation and career at that office, I would look for employment at a company that welcomes diversity in dress, race, and gender.
First, we all code switch all the time, no matter the race. Let's take a step back and up to see that. Second, these companies are owned by folk who can set their rules right or wrong. And we have been fighting the battles for equality and acceptance in places and with people who benefit from discriminating against us. The reality is that we must have our businesses and our own wealth to set our own rules. Again, we can respectfully disagree, but I wholeheartedly encourage those who are fighting this battle of exceptance at someone else's business to instead focus on entrepreneurship and establishing themselves rather than integrating and fighting to be in a place that hates you and holds you back. By telling you something is wrong with your hair is low key giving the impression that something is wrong with you. I care not to educate or fight or even deal with such mind games. I put on the uniform, get my check, and use that to build my own as simple as that.
Y?
