I have received an Associate Principal offer from Air b-n-b. I have nearly 6 years of experience (7 depending on how it is counted) in consulting and live in a VHCOL area (though the compensation is the same for anywhere in the US). Base salary offered is $155k (a pay cut from my current role), with $140k worth of RSUs and no cash signing bonus. Is this a competitive offer? What would be a reasonable amount to negotiate for, particularly in terms of base salary?

I’m an early startup having raised a bit of money from family and friends to help grow my business. Time is moving fast and I’m potties I won’t hit my targets and being the return back to those who invested.
Once I have used the money that’s been invested there’s no way of seeing it again and still bringing the return quick enough.

The numbers still show it’s possible, I still believe in the concept and I’m still growing, I think I just have some imposter syndrome.

Interviewed for Deloitte S&A Tech Strategy SC and got a verbal offer for Consultant instead. I negotiated the offer to 120K salary and 10K signing bonus. I’m a boomerang with 4 years ERP consulting but this past year I’ve been doing DEI Consulting. Spoke with former colleagues who rejoined Deloitte and got a much higher offer for SC. How do I go back to the recruiter to negotiate further? I suggested that I’d probably sign but need time to think. Now I’d like to go back and request 140k salary.
