I have recently transitioned into an independent consulting role with a lot of travel so now I am unconstrained by booking sites and credit cards. Have Amex platinum and have been using Amex travel to get 5x points however I won’t get Marriott stays points (which isn’t a big deal since I’m lifetime platinum). Any thoughts or strategies I should consider? I am also flying Delta for the lounge and JetBlue and don’t have any kind of airline CC. Should I simply keep maximizing Amex points?

How did you get up the courage to invest? I max out the annual allowable contribution amount for my 401K, but otherwise I’ve got everything in savings.
