Hi fishes, I got interviewed for CGI , CGI Communications Inc, 2nd February- technical round and 7th February- Managerial round. Till now, I didn't get any update from HR team. I tried calling Hr and dropped mails about the status. But she is not picking calls or replying to my mails. I tried calling the the person who setup L1 interview, she told I was not selected. What should I consider now, is my candidature on hold or should I think I got Rejected without any confirmation from HR team.
Hi fishes, I am looking for expert inputs on my next possible career move.
I have 10.5 years of total workex, and recently got promoted to CL6 (Sr Manager) at Accenture. I work in data science and analytics. My total comp's over 55 LPA. I'm looking for exit options outside. One big aspiration for me now is to settle down with a better work life balance as currently I spend 12+ hours on a daily basis in high stress projects. Please suggest firms which are hiring at these levels. TIA!

Hi,
Let me tell you my own story.. I have stammering problem.. I can say 15-20% of words I need to speak twice or with stammering.. I am in consulting stream and facing clients daily.. I worked for Infosys as a fresher. Then switched to Accenture., currently working for Deloitte.. in all the interviews I will set the platform or expectation to interviewer that I have this problem.. so the interviewer will concentrate only on our technical skills.. other wise interviewer will think you are answering in hurry or you are feeling nervous which may impact our intervuew result.. also explain him how you are overcoming your problem in your day to day talks with business / clients/ colleagues.. that's it.. have confidence in you and be strong in your technology.. speak in front of mirror for some time before interview.. may be some 10 -15mins read one article infront of mirror.. that will really help.. all the best 👍

You have been working all this time in the industry and I am sure you would have shown confidence in many situations. Then just a thought why are you not feeling confident in giving interviews. They are also the people like us.

Bro i understand you.. i come from a village like area and my english have slang (by default) . People call it MTI( mother tongue influence) and i couldnt get rid of it till now.
Many times i still say "Koll" for "Call".
But then i see non English nation people speaking completely wrong english and often called as cute or natural.. so i understood its not about the language and how we speak... its about how we present ourself.
Dont worry, just focus on your knowledge and you can crack any interview.

My dad stuttered a lot. As he grew in his career, he got more opportunities and exposure, which worked great cause it helped him build his confidence. And soon, I guess he stopped focusing on the stutter and instead focused on the work. Now he does not stutter at all.
It is not a problem, it is only lack of self belief. Don't get depressed, just have a belief that you are capable enough to get anything done. You are reached here because you are capable. I faced the same problem in my school time till 10th, once I started to believe in myself never ever I felt the same issue again.
Do not think too much about the communication. You are in IT industry bro. Company gives value to your technical skills not your communication skills. Be yourself and do not think much. Attend the interviews, max to max they will reject you but you will get experience and confidence. If you are not trying then your situation will never change. Just be yourself and accept yourself. Best wishes 👍
Its good you are supporting him....and our skills may speak for themselves but communication is a channel through which you will communicate your ideas how well you can articulate your thoughts .. suggesting him to do nothing about his stammering prblm isn't a positive approach...u should motivate him or advise him to work on his prblms...I know stammering isn't something that will go away in a day or even years but he can try reading to himself any article or even signing may help more so he needs to believe in himself as his stammering issue is more amplified when he is nervous... try practicing and take your time you will surely overcome it :)
There is nothing to be ashamed about if you stutter. Think positively. If you feel speech disability is a concern at your job try following some speech techniques. For example, hold a pencil in your mouth and try speaking some words. Mostly stutterers are of three types. The first ones find hard to start a sentence, second, find hard to finish a sentence and third ones are common like they struggle to utter a particular words starting with a, r, s, e, k and so on. What happens is when you know you're going to stuck you avoid saying that word. Don't do that!!
In fact, try completing your sentence using the exact words. In the start, you may find it hard but once you get your head clear upon this it will help you talk confidently.
Job wise you're already doing good.
Hope this helps!!
