Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

Good words of wisdom I got from a friend was that if you don’t feel like giving up from all the rejections you haven’t interviewed with enough places yet lol. Keep fighting through and something will come along - I interviewed with 15 places and went to final rounds for 5 before I got my offer that 2.3x my comp.
I appreciate that. That kind of puts everything into perspective. Thanks
I interviewed at probably 50+ companies trying to figure out what I wanted to do next. Thank god I didn’t get the offer from the early or even mid companies. What I wanted to do has changed a lot
Take a shot of your favorite college alcohol and a deep breath a few mins before it starts. I’m dead ass serious. Video makes it harder for them to tell :) But more importantly look at interviews as experience to get better at interviewing THEM. Interviews are more so for you and whether you want to work there, not the other way around. Ask more questions about things that matter to you.
I usually ask what makes the interviewers job challenging? What challenges do you foresee my role facing here? What is the best thing about working here and what is the worst? What are the reporting lines for this role? How long do people usually stay with the company/team?
If they can give any meaningful or knowledgeable answers to questions like that it’s a good sign. If they don’t…then you don’t want to be there anyway. Withdraw your name before they can reject you. That feels better and they are more likely to take a second look at you in the future if they didn’t reject you previously.
Make sure your video set up is professional:
The background is professional-looking.
The lighting is good. Don’t look like you’re sitting in a basement or closet with 40w bulb.
The sound is good. Have a good microphone. Eliminate background noises and chances of having acoustic interruptions (e.g., dogs barking, children walking into the room).
Have a good camera.
Wear clothes that would be appropriate for the in-person meeting.
Try to look into the camera and not the screen when talking.
Don’t have anything else open on your computer other than your resume and other reference material. Don’t have your email open.
Turn off any notifications you might get such as from Facebook, news apps, Twitter, or phone calls on your phone.
Try not to talk over the interviewer.
Otherwise, apply all of the common sense rules you would use for an in-person interview.
