How do i get a raise? Been in role for a year and am decent at my job. I probably fit in the “meets expectations” category but I’m consistent and have built good relationships. I haven’t asked for a raise but could really use one with inflation so high
I got a job offer from a small, relatively unknown firm. I've worked for a larger firm for most of my career. Taking the offer would mean a decent raise, but I'm a bit nervous to leave the comfort of my large firm. What should I do?
I have a question. I work as an assistant manager been a manager for a while worked for the company for 6 years. I know crew gets paid a dollar less than me yet a do a lot ( its part of my job ) I asked for a raise I was told wait 3 months. Waited I asked again was told I needed to do this this and that. I feel like I'm under paid, but I love my job and crew.

I work for a small agency; the design team consists of myself and my creative director. Last week my CD put in his 2 weeks and the CEO basically asked me to take over his responsibilities without mentioning a title bump or a raise.
I kind of just agreed in the moment but I want to come back and ask for a new title and a raise. I have about 5 years of experience but I don't know if I want to make the jump to CD, so I'm wondering if another title might be more appropriate? Maybe ACD?

What’s the productive, diplomatic way to phrase “I’ve worked 340 hours of unpaid OT in the last 6 months. For the love of god, I need a raise” in a review? This is just a mid-cycle review with raises off the table until Spring, but I want to plant the seed now.

I’m approaching my 6 month mark at my current company and will be asking for a raise.
I am a software development project manager at a 60 person company but manage 13 developers. I currently make a $75k salary — based on research it looks like I should be paid just over $100k but plan to ask for $90k. Any insight as to if this is a reasonable ask?
New graduate PA in pediatric primary care reaching yearly review wanting to engage in asking for a raise as I didn't negotiate initially. Base pay 45/hr but seeing 20+ patients a day in a fast paced clinic. Best strategies to engage in the conversation.
Offered a promotion where I countered for a higher rate and remote work. The firm reported that my counter offer was going to take weeks to discuss, but I wasn’t “asking for an arm”. Two weeks later they approved the initial offer without consent and against my written request to hold off until negotiations concluded. Now, I’m told that my actions have fractured the relationship

Hello Fishes, i am expecting offer from Bank of America. They provide me expected role and location. But HR trying to low-ball me with below average offer of 18 LPA which is not even 30% of my current package.
I asked for 26 LPA and said I am expecting a other two offers. But HR keep on stressing with 18 is the max they can offer.
I mostly see good reviews of BOA company for job security and growth rate from online.
What should I do now? Can i take the offer?

How do you explain a work gap if the reason for the abrupt departure is harassment? Is the excuse “I left for health reasons” genuinely received as an acceptable answer in today’s world (with the same old stuffy judgmental partners)?..could really use some light at the end of the tunnel that leaving before finding a new job won’t get me doubly burned by this situation…But, if giving the health excuse would get my resume tossed at good firms then I’m willing to endure a few more months.
I have been in my phone all day and havent really worked because i keep thinking about the guy I’m obsessed with but can’t have 😂

If it’s true then let that employee know and wish them the best. You don’t have to divulge any further details but let them know that that was what you were working on. Tell them only when they give you their notice of resignation.
It’s like a final review. It is only beneficial to let them know of their progression and your appreciation. However they interpret it will be on them and it’s their final decision to leave.
Good advice. Thanks!
Follow up: I shared the info. Now it's several weeks later. Employee doesn't like the new place. Might be back soon!
