What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.
Cushman & Wakefield Interested in a Sales Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. I have experience as a government analyst for 7 years but nothing related to commercial real estate. I want to become a more competitive applicant but not sure where to start. Are there any certificates, skills, or knowledge that I should be learning in my free time?

I'm in the same boat. Stuck, because the pay is great, but don't like the job anymore. Been in the GOV for 15yrs. Healthcare is my passion and what I have a maaters degree in, but its hard to find a job that matches my pay. I'm at the point where I would rather work two jobs to match my pay and be happy, rather than working this one and being miserable. I hope when I do find the move, someone super deserving and motivated will fill my seat. Some ppl tell me to consider my time-in service, but my TSP follows me, so I'm fine. I'm not 40 yet, so I have time to start somewhere else. And who knows, I may return to the federal service in the future.
You might need to take a step back (and earn less, at first) to gain the experience you need so you can step forward again.
The longer you stay in a go-nowhere position, not developing the skills you want, and not making yourself marketable, the more likely you will REMAIN STUCK.
Use your extra time to take some courses to learn a new skill; volunteer at non-profit organizations to use those new skills. Volunteer hours are taken into consideration when applying for federal jobs.
Good luck! It took me 3.5 years to get out of my go-nowhere job. (I’ve applied to jobs every single day!).
The higher the pay grade, the harder it is to advance. My advice is to look at the jobs you’d want TWO jobs from now (2 pay grades above where you’re at) and target your courses and jobs you’re applying to that will help you get the experience you’ll need for that future job.
Consider a career coach to help you better understand your passions and values and find a role that aligns with those. A career coach was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life.
No disrespect, but this administration has made the decision for you by getting ready to fire a lot of people in Federal Government. Which may be a blessing. Sometimes God let things happen that's hard for us to do...
Oh if only, definitely don’t want to be unemployed; had a 4 month period without a job and that was pretty rough. We will see how this administration handles my position, definitely low on the totem pole and heard so many different things.
I used to work for government and left- I used to feel stuck everyday. Then reality hit- our economy started to decline and jobs were far and few between. Before you make any huge life altering decisions, because getting back in is very hard these days. I hope you also find a job that fits you more, some jobs are more mentally taxing and really take a toll on your life as a whole. Look around and maybe put some apps in, see what you can find before jumping ship.
I feel the same way. Im tired of management. I want to be responsible for myself and that’s it.
There's a good and a bad to a good playing job. It pays so well that you can pay your bills and have a little extra, but you're stuck because you can't take a cut in pay. It's there another position thar you would like better?
