Not sure but project managing is the bane of my existence so the last thing I’d want to do is tell anyone I have the credential for it because I avoid it at all costs!!!!!! Glad there are people who enjoy it though! Haha.
Yesssssss! I think the most stressful thing ever is to try to find available times for executives with impossible calendars. EAs are so under appreciated and they have the most stressful job. I used to cover for an EA when she went out and it was always the worst week of my year hahaha
Is it that highly valued these days? My understanding is it carries some weight in the Federal space; otherwise it’s all about Agile.
It’s still a thing in federal because SOWs often require the PM to have a PMP.
I think you answered your own question.
It’s not a valued certification unless you make $50k a year. Just do a CFA if you want a certificate with some value
BAH 1, look up SAFe certifications. That’s what the clients are asking for. You need to take a class prior to taking the exam. On another hand, you can self study on scrum.org and then take the exam — Low cost and pretty straightforward.

It sounds like your work experience as PM was closed aligned to PMO guidelines which isn’t always the case. According to the blogs, people that had more PM experience found the exam to be more difficult, on the basis that they answered the questions per their own experience not per the PMI guidelines. PMO experience is extremely broad and the responsibilities vary greatly, I make 230k in a PMO role that I find very enjoyable, high level leadership and strategic guidance. Clients demand PMP, it’s easy to sell resources with this certification.
