Not bad at all. You’re 23
I don’t wish that upon anyone. But ya, certainly not a terrible look, but it’s probably good to display some staying power with your next gig
I think you’d be fine. I would just say something like it wasn’t what was advertised and you weren’t challenged enough doing controls testing. Most people can relate to how that would be terible
It does not look bad, but you can also explore and set up well for the transfer if you like the company. Network in target area, do a good job even if your work is boring, and move in one year. One year it not a big deal in the grand scheme of things and D is a good place
I’m getting pigeon holed and I’d rather get out before that actually happens
join smaller consulting firms. unfortunately big firms have that habit of pigeon-hole as it comes with the business model (it’s an unspoken truth)
If you leave on your own and can get a job quickly, no one will think twice long term. This early in, it all goes towards building your overall experience and finding out what you want. Any good manager should be happy with that explanation. Anyone who’s pissed you didn’t stick it out for the good if the company or some such BS you wouldn’t want to work for anyway.
Not bad. If it’s not for you, that’s cool. Over the years in this job there will be many that you feel like not doing. If you think you’d rather do something else no one will hold it against you
I left after one year and none of the hiring managers for industry roles batted an eye
