I just received an offer from a lesser known company and have been with my current established company for 7 years. I’m reluctant to leave due to the security blanket I have from my current employer have any of you been in this situation, and what didn’t you do?

I went to a lesser known company and received a 20% pay hike for the role. Less red tape when it comes to salary.

I went from Nationwide as a claims adjuster to a company I never heard of to another company I never heard of to another company I only heard of because I did work with them from my current company.

I say that because there are a lot of lesser known or unknown companies out there that are well worth jumping to.

Do some research on the companies and if they are well established take a chance. Also, you can try reaching out to someone from that company that you might be working with and see if they are willing to talk to you about their experience there.

Good luck in your decision.

Also, if you want you can DM me with that company name and I’ll let you know if I’ve heard of them. That is if your a claims adjuster. Other wise I’d have no idea. lol

Hello, I am a junior business administrator working in advisory operations. I have been with the company for 6 months, and was employed along with 2 other colleagues. I have picked the job up really fast and am even doing some “extra curricula’s” I really love my job. However I have recently found out I am being paid the same as an apprentice on my team, I usually do at 3 x the work he does whilst also doing my Cert CII. It has really disheartened me and I feel I should be earning more money

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?
