I just transitioned a Research Analyst role a year ago. I want to develop more technical skills. I was accepted in a Data Analyst Bootcamp at University of south Florida..but would anyone recommend just getting a second bachelors (I currently hold a BA and MBA). Or should I just work my way through free courses that are out there?

Either or. Depends on the time on hand and money you’re able to spend, as well as how far along in your career/age you’re in. If you’re in your mid to late 20s, you could still plan for a FT MS in hard core technical field and jump back into workforce in 12-18 months. But if you cannot afford the time away from FT paid job, then start with certifications first and foremost. These are in your own time, and less money. Then, try building up your portfolio on the side - ie use the knowledge to create some solutions. Meanwhile, in parallel, find ways to get involved with tech projects/roles either at current company or perhaps applying for new jobs. Very do-able but will require some planned effort

You can't get a second bachelor's in the US once you've already completed one. Certificates, postbac degrees, and graduate degrees are your accredited options.

Boot camps and certificates from no name schools don't add much to your resume for STEM roles, but can still be useful for learning if you don't have the discipline for independent study. If you do, save your money.

That's actually not true. I definitely started a second Bachelor's program after getting my first one. I'm just one course away (capstone) from completing the second one.

Perhaps you're thinking of rules around financial aid / scholarships.

So, I truly enjoy wealth management, corporate and institutional solutions and being in a managerial position with 5+ years in this field and in a true management position. I have a B.s in Business Administration and MBA in Global Business Management Currently hold Series 7, 9, 10 and 66 and I’m looking for great opportunities in the Atlanta market. All the help, referrals and guidance would be much appreciated! Was at JPMC before but had left to get managerial experience. I miss JPMC!

Does it look bad in my resume to resign after less than a year at a job? writing here the time I’ve spent at each company since graduating college:
- 2 years at company 1 (resigned to move back to home country)
- 2 years at company 2 (resigned and moved back to the US)
- went back to company 1 (it had grown exponentially after 2 years so came back at higher position) (resigned after 1 year to join a startup at director level)
- 6 months at startup and I want to quit with nothing lined up

Expecting an offer this week or early next week, but want to know when you start negotiating the salary? When you receive the call from the company or wait until receiving the formal offer letter? And how should the negotiation start? Through phone calls or emails? Didn’t use recruiter for this position, so I don’t know what is the process here.
