I just went to office to collect my Laptop and the IT team is saying that my account is disabled and only line manager can raise a request and enable it again. But line manager is also not able to successfully do it and without this I cannot login and they won't give me the laptop unless I am signed in. I also tried reaching out to Chennai IT Helpdesk but nobody was taking up the call after it said that it will connect to an agent. If anyone know how to resolve this please reply asap. Barclays

Is it wise to go to my company’s competitor for a promotion and risk burning a bridge?

For context, my small company was suddenly bought out by a large corp. I was about to get promoted to leadership but the new company doesn’t want to honor the title/salary increase we worked out. We only have one significant competitor in our industry, and it’s likely my best option. Love my company, been with them for years, but I’m really struggling with how frustrating this situation is.

I'm currently in a process for senior associate at a Big4. The process began on July, yet between the first and second interview it took like 3-4 weeks. And between the 2nd and 3rd like 7 weeks. I sent an email to HR during those weeks asking for an update and didn't have an answer. Is that correct?
