I just wrapped up an interview today that involved meeting with eight people across several different groups. I'm planning to send a thank you email and am wondering about the best way to address everyone without making the greeting sound awkward. Since I met with each group separately, should I send one combined email to all eight people, or would it be better to send separate thank-you emails to each group or individual?

I want to believe the group is not up to 8 groups, so it is better you send each group a seperate mail since they were not seated in thesame room to interview you.

I would send just the one email to all people - you could make the greeting simple like “Good afternoon all,”. Makes easier work for you and also ensures all the people at that organization know who all was involved in your interview process. Don’t over think it - it’s a thank you email so make it sincere but also make it simple and to the point. Best of luck!

I think it's best to just keep it to one email. "Thank you all for your time today" sort of thing. That's much easier than sending 8 separate emails.

Individually would be best. That shows personalization instead of addressing the interview panel as a whole.

I usually send individual thank-yous and mention something specific we talked about. Even if it’s just a line or two, it shows you were paying attention. It’s a small gesture, but people remember it.

How do you all deal with the guilt of leaving a comany/ team? I have been working at Microsoft for 1 year now, and seriously considering moving. I find the code base to be very legacy and I mostly work on obscure bugs that I spend so much time on, mostly due to navigating this large code base and not having much docs to refer to. Hence I find the job slightly unsatisfying, and that I could learn more elsewhere. However, I love the wlb, the team and company culture. The guilt stops my applying.

I recently joined Swiss Re at 30lpa, pretty good manager and work culture. Got a hike of 10% in 3 months without me asking for it. But got an offer from another company which I was interviewing for before joining here and they are offering a base of 45lpa. Now I am unsure how I convey this to my manager coz I want to stay here but at the same time I am salivating over this new offer and wish I get similar numbers here. Is it worth raising a discussion? If yes what would be a subtle way to do so?

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. I’d basically be laterally for my current salary just to bill 400 more hours. I also wasn’t aware that the local office was strictly ID. Firm website advertises lots of practice areas. Any advice? I handleda very difficult and convoluted succession for a black family. My client was astute and intelligent. We got along great. His family was difficult. Willfully ignorant.

Part of the succession dealt with clawing back $450,000 in insurance proceeds that a niece fraudulent received from the decedent by making herself the beneficiary on policies. A separate attorney was hired to handle that part before I was hired to handle all other matters, including settling a $500,000 debt with the...

Long time in the making; but we finally sold off from our 50% HWB short. We had two tests at the 3400 level, getting as high as 3420 today before the sell off. Momentum and pessimism over lack of stimulus could take us to the 3107 target quickly, nearly a 10 percent decline over the next month. Stay short my friends. It's going to get bumpy.

I spent 2 years as an SE at my current company and was offered a job at the same company to lead our tech partnerships. I was pumped about the role and increased my OTE by 20%.

After 4 months, the culture of this team is entirely different than sales. My manager micromanages me, is out of touch, and threatened me for having passion projects outside of work.

Do I stick it out and deal with the anxiety, move on from the company I love, or take an AE job that is on the table and blow it up?
