I’m just tired of brands on social media in general. My hot take is that most brands would be better off curating their feeds with occasional posts and leaving it at that.
It's kinda how the game's played right now. Especially for stuff like Taylor Swift getting engaged, you make the right post and you've got your metrics for the year.
Oh yeah, for sure. I get why we do it, and I’ve pitched stuff myself when I thought a trend would fit well enough. But creatively, it mostly just feels lazy and soulless from a viewer standpoint.
Totally. I understand the data and KPIs for reach and impressions needed. But personally, I feel hopping on trends & trending audios that especially doesn't align to the brand, could really lower or make the brand look bad in a long run. (make or break situation)
People will forget it after the trend dies down or perhaps even after that 15 seconds.
I feel the same way. We are supposed to create something new not following trends that don’t make sense for brands!
