After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

PA is catching up base salary. That's a good news for us. I am in industry, and the difference is stock option, which can give additional 5 figure income. So TC is much higher than the same role in PA although not all companies offer stock option. If PA salary increase continues, I may go back to PA in a few years. I like PA more in terms of work. Anyway, it is good that we have more options than ever. Good luck to you all!
what kind of companies are you applying to? biotech and tech seem to be offering pretty decent salaries. i was a new audit senior at pwc in hcol making 96k and switched to industry at a tech company with 145k TC. other people at my level i’ve talked with who switched to industry in tech/biotech also got similar compensation
Technical accounting is more of a specialty so it pays higher
Off topic but is S1 to S2 really a promotion?
EY8 - your statement can be true and OP can be wrong. What you said has 0 impact on the accuracy (inaccuracy) of OP’s statement that pay raise = promotion. It does not
I’m an S2 in HCOL making way less.. this is insane how associated and newly promoted seniors make way more than S2-S3-M1 etc.. gotta switch Big4 and get that premium paid salary…
I think it depends on LOS and specialty group. I’m in NYC, when I got promoted last jan, my salary was 105k

I think what mentioned is true. PwC adjusted audit pay band significantly and industry is hard to catch up
How about EY?
I am in the same situation. Industry is offering a slight bump in base salary. The difference I have seen when comparing PwC vs industry is the bonuses are much higher within industry at least for alternative investments roles in NYC. So if you are leaving PwC and are a higher performer in your first year then you’d probably make 30% higher in total comp in an industry role. However, if things go south you may be as easy laid off. The biggest difference I have seen is that exiting PwC as a senior is far better option than exiting as a manager or above. Good luck!
Why
that salary comes with expectations that you will perform. if they pay you 110k, you better be a superstar. SM are awake when you're going to sleep, and awake when you wake up.
You’re right D4! That’s why I’m leaving audit 😂 but good luck to you it’s really tough..
96k? I didnt even reach that salary as manager.
125 + 5. nyc. tax mgr

In audit???
Citi1 do you see yourself doing IA all your life ? Congrats btw !
how did you arrive to that 96k number? have you received comp info yet?
OP what service line?
Moving cohorts is not a promotion.
Wow 96 ad an S1. Why am I here GT 😟
Ditto.
What city are you in? EY seniors do y’all make 96k otherwise I’m moving immediately
you will in san jose
I don’t think you get progressed to S2 in May though.
Yes if you’re promoted mid year/effective January 1, you are a S1. As of 7/1, you become a S2.
Coach
You got promoted to senior after one year?
Seems to be 2.5 years if starting in the fall
What group are you in?
I’m S1, tax, M/HCOL making $80k. Switched from regional making $60k.
