Have 100k in cash (had been <stupidly> conservative about investing while paying loans). 90k addl. coming in to invest on annual basis going forward (what’s left of base + bonus after taxes, maxing 401k, and all expenses), which mostly comes in end of year bonus (55-60k post tax) and rest monthly (3kish a month). Only big goals are buying house (~$1.25M ballpark) in ~3yrs, contribute to 529 (plan for 1 kid) and maximize long term net worth potential. How would you approach it all?

Just got an offer that I want to take. They told me that the role is full-time, full benefits, includes equity, and is a much higher base salary than I currently make (+50%). But for some reason the role is paid out hourly. AKA a minimum of 40 hours a week at the rate of the salary / (52 * 40) then anything above that I get overtime. Why would they do this? What is the downside? Aren’t they paying me more with this setup than I would have taken if it was just salary? What am I missing?

I resigned from my current org on 28th Sep and it got accepted on 29th Sep and I got salary for September as on 30th Sep.
I am supposed to serve a notice period of 2 month out of which october has passed and I haven't received October salary yet. When I questioned they HR said that salary for the month of resignation will be paid (which was September as per them) and for remaining period it will be withheld an shall be paid with FnF.

Partners/shareholders - how many hours are you expected to bill on work vs client dev and firm/associate management? My firm keeps saying that "there's no such thing as a relationship partner" and everyone top-to-bottom is expected to log 2000 hours/year on real billable work. Marketing etc is done on top of that.
