I have been trying this cold therapy not for fat loss but for my mental well-being. I usually do 30 secs on and off for 3-4 times in shower and not sure if it is placebo effect but I instantly feel really good. Andrew Huberman has several podcasts on this topic if anybody is interested.

I take freezing cold showers every day (no hot water at all). Better than coffee at waking me up (though I still drink coffee).

Started doing it for dry skin but eventually got addicted to the mood boost and now do them exclusively. Definitely way better skin/hair in addition to any other benefits, but for me the mood boost is key.

It’s also a fantastic hangover treatment after a long night out

I take a minute of cold shower in the morning and I definitely feel great!

Had my first egg retrieval a few weeks ago. Still trying to comprehend what happened. All my ultrasounds and blood work came back perfect. In the end, I had 30 follicles and they were only able to retrieve 3 eggs. Our embryologist said my egg quality was very poor and one had been dead for a long time. None of my tests ever indicated any issues. I have tested my egg reserve twice and everything came back normal. Any thoughts/advice? I’m really at a loss for words.

My last therapist keeps coming up in my mind. I left her when I moved to a new area before COVID dug in and frankly it felt like leaving a girlfriend. She also disclosed in the final session that she was a member of AA and knew several of the people I occasionally discussed from the rooms. Over the last few years I’ve allowed myself to gain 40 pounds. I often feel uncomfortable and unattractive in my own body, and I fear that the extra weight puts me at greater risk if I were to catch Covid (though I am vaccinated). Despite all this, I struggle to find the motivation to change. I have lost weight before, but it all came creeping back. I feel very cynical about trying to lose it again. I guess I am just not unhappy enough to try again. Has anyone been in the same boat?
