April Fool's Day Today 😅
Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

One Uber manager groped female co-workers’ breasts at a company retreat in Las Vegas. A director shouted a homophobic slur at a subordinate during a heated confrontation in a meeting. Another manager threatened to beat an underperforming employee’s head in with a baseball bat. Source: NY Times. This nonsense doesn’t happen in a vacuum.
Salary sucks, trying to force an IPO before the economy starts slowing down, most recent fundraising was a downround, equity is diluted, terrible culture, company is a black mark on your resume a la Cambridge Analytica or the Trump administration
Did you ask this yesterday?
Also, they underpay and will probably never ipo so whatever little equity they are giving out at this stage is illiquid
Working in the executive branch of the United States and the POTUS normally wouldn't be a black mark on any resume yet here we are...
Pretty sure they could still field some nice acquisition offers considering they have easily the best ride share platform developed (not to mention routing/matching algorithms). I sincerely don't think working for a high growth and disruptive company would be a "black mark" on your resume...
Hubby works there and totally loves it. It’s nothing like the nonsense the media portrays. He was skeptical when joining as that’s when the whole TK fiasco was going on, but his interviewers were honest saying that this was so weird for them too and they never experienced any such issues. He’s been there over 6 months in a high position with good visibility and is very proud of all the advancements the company is making technologically. The culture is amazing, the people are brilliant and the company has serious potential. Sure salary is low, but only because they spent millions gaining market share and are yet to get out of debt. Lyft is a useless wannabe with minimal market share, especially outside the US, who copies everything Uber does. Lyft is just a bunch of hippies.
If Uber was stupid, then why are they being invested in so heavily? I’ve been to the office, I’ve seen what they are capable of/up to. The main thing they need to work on and invest in is PR. They do amazing upgrades/policies all the time, but get no credit
Just my humble opinion based on experience. 🙂
Couldn’t agree with you more D5 - read your post to my hubby who also works at Uber and he wholeheartedly agreed with everything you said, he loves working there and it’s been 4 years. Idk why there’s so much haterade for Uber in the fishbowl... especially since I bet so much of this group relies on Uber (or Lyft which wouldn’t exist without Uber). Thank you for the well articulated pro-Uber post
Nope
Thanks folks
Truth is their whole business model is ripe for disruption once self driving cars come out. Do you think people will still need their services once it's out? And even if they do, they're not gauranteed to be the only players in the market nor the first to have a fleet of autonomous vehicles.
Imagine if Lyft beats them to having self driving cars. That would kill all their market share pretty much immediately.
They don’t pay well
Thanks A1!
