I need your recommendations on what card to get next.

I am planning 2 wedding receptions, 1 in Vietnam end of this year, and 1 in the US next summer. Will have a lot of expenses occur now-next summer, but most of it will be spent around end of this year & next summer. Open for all suggestions for the card I should open.

Currently have:

Costco Citi CC - use for gas and Costco shopping only

Chase Sapphire Preferred - main CC, opened 07/2019

Capital One Venture X - opened 1yr

I'd open the plat rn before the targeted referral expires June 7th.

You're travelling and it has a high welcome bonus for high spend requirement

like

If your main is chase, start burning through the ink cards. Get your SO to open them as well and refer one another back and forth for massive points gains

helpful

What are your typical expenses?

The Citi Custom Cash card is great for a single category 5% cash back, Double Cash is good for flat 2% cash back

Amex Gold is good for dining and groceries (Blue Cash Preferred better if your spend leans groceries) and the AF is partially offset by Uber and restaurant credits

Bilt is phenomenal for points on rent (please let me know if you’d like a referral)!

I’m a big fan of the Amex Plat in general because of all the traveling perks it comes with, especially since you already have the Chase and Capital One card.

If not the Platinum Card, you’d probably do well getting an airline card since you’re about to rack up some miles. Make sure you shop around for the best SUB though as they often come from referrals.

You can also use rakuten to stack amex points. It's a good combo with plat's coupon book and especially the saks fifth Avenue benefit

There's a elevated referral offer for rakuten too vs public for a free 30$ too. If anyone's interested referral link* below

I’m an early startup having raised a bit of money from family and friends to help grow my business. Time is moving fast and I’m potties I won’t hit my targets and being the return back to those who invested.
Once I have used the money that’s been invested there’s no way of seeing it again and still bringing the return quick enough.

The numbers still show it’s possible, I still believe in the concept and I’m still growing, I think I just have some imposter syndrome.

Any advice?

Having worked with energy now for a decade, I find myself enjoying the craziness of it all: You're always two decisions (in Moscow or Riyadh) away from prices halving or doubling. Find it hard to imagine doing strategy work in the less volatile/crazy domains - what could be more exciting than this 😋
