I always ask for feedback, but I rarely get it. I definitely agree with you—I wish it were just a normal part of the process. While it can sting sometimes, it also really helps you grow and improve.
Same here. Even small, high level feedback can make a big difference. It may sting in the moment, but it’s often what helps us improve fastest.
Recruiters don't usually give honest feedbacka unfortunately.
I agree it’s not always easy to get. When it does happen though, it really builds trust and helps candidates grow. I wish more processes made room for that.
I don't ask because I know most companies have policies against offering feedback. Besides, it usually comes down to someone having more of the specific experience they are looking for. There isn't much I can do about that.
True, sometimes it does come down to someone having closer experience. I still like asking though. Occasionally you get a small insight that helps you position yourself better next time
