We need this type of Corporate Culture!

Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

I’ve been at EY for a year and I feel the same. Looking for CMAAS/AAS. I wouldn’t say I don’t fit the culture, but I’m over audit. Haven’t had time for CPA, so something I need to think about. Just apply though, we are all the same.
Gotcha, thanks for advice!
That happened to me when I worked at Deloitte. I liked my job... but the hours were endless. It helped that I moved to a middle market firm, currently I am a senior manager. I have more flexibility on my schedule and work life balance. If you need help let me know, happy to talk.
How do I try to get into middle market? I really would love to Im just not happy
Ive worked at KPMG for a year and right after busy season I’ve only worked a normal 40 hours and even during busy season only worked a couple weekends and a few nights past 8-9pm
Man I’ve had such a chill year lol. I love it here. My team is small though. I hope you are able to transfer
Audit
Risk assurance is by far the worst service line in big 4. Think about what you want next and do whatever it takes to get there. Could be an internal transfer, going to a different big 4, industry...
I really liked my coworkers and the hours were good, but I absolutely hated the work and lack of exit ops. Would get out sooner than later if you already don't like it. You get pigeonholed badly if you stay.
I am in RA i like the work hate the hours not sure If I like my coworkers….
Well it’s actually split into two. There’s risk & reg in advisory and DAT that stayed in assurance.
Agree that DAT isn’t ideal from a career standpoint. If you stayed in DAT you’re an IT auditor so your best move is to become an expert in oracle or sap and transfer into those practices.
Figure out what service line you want to be in. Talk to someone in that service line. See if your strengths would be a good fit for their team, and get referred 👍 I'm always happy to talk to people who want to be in assurance- I'm a manager in financial services at a mid size
Get your referrals. Make the whole process 100x easier. Especially now with everyone giving out referrals, it’s almost become a prerequisite
I feel this post.
are you in audit? have to believe PwC has smaller clients you cold try to get on to work with smaller teams?
Meet with your coach or TL and let them know you’d like to try a smaller team or different industry or what ever it is you want. The firm is huge and has already invested in you so it’s in their interest to find something you enjoy and are productive in
