I had a childhood friend who used to have his parents put a plate over his cereal after it was poured to make sure it is all submerged so it could get soggy by the tike he got to it.

Never looked at him the same. He’s a pilot now and the reason why I question Delta’s screening process.

I'm going to have a nightmare thanks to this story 😭

Mmm, I put cereals first like it seems the majority here, but .. to all of you/us ‘cereals first’ .. do you ever add more cereals? Because, in that case, the milk is already there! That milk is ‘first’!

People get such strong feelings about this. I’ve tried it both ways to see if it made a difference, it doesn’t - but I was curious years ago. When I had a stroke and was recovering though it was difficult to do everything and get the milk back to the fridge before things got soggy. Putting the milk in first was easiest then. As a result I did it that way for a while.

Not a monster, just an easier way to eat food. It’s not that serious y’all.

Correct, it doesn’t matter in regards to taste. However, if you aren’t used to doing it this way, you can accidentally pour more milk than you need. The reason most people pour their cereal first is so that, when you pour the milk, you can gauge how much you need once it fills up to the level you want. It’s the same concept of what do you put in the jar first: The rocks? Or the sand? You put the rocks in first because the sand fills in the crevices. If you put the sand in first, you might not room for the the rocks.

Milk helps a lot to put first because from my experience milk can spill from hitting the cereal when you pour it in

Incredible depth in this post - exactly what one would expect from EY.

I turn on my laptop before I open my eyes! It’s a crazy world

I eat my cereal and milk separately, so I fill my bowl with cereal then eat it. To help wash it down I then pour in the milk and drink from the bowl like a cat

You sound like my toddler and baby.

I put my milk in your cereal too

She’s incredibly talented and I’d appreciate any ideas I could relay to her. Thanks!
