Thought this was interesting. Across 160 teams of researchers, just about all failed to make good life outcome predictions on things like GPA, evictions, layoffs, and others. Data followed 4.5k families across 15 years, with 13k features (varied over time). Haven't looked at it directly yet, but will be turning the docs and data inside out... In the meantime, authors claim this as showing the limits of ML. Oh, and it's published in PNAS, so you know there's some big publication energy there.

Wut lol
Lol! Nobody will ever be in crisis due to shortage of business analysts!!
Business Analyst job role has become very generic with ease of analytics and automation. Most of the value added by a business analyst could now be replaced by AI driven tech. Generative AI and automation will likely make this job function obsolete over next decade or two.
Why not just look at job postings based in Arizona ? And then look on Glassdoor for the salary?
I did, and it looks like the opportunities are similar to anywhere else. Just wanted to know if there's anyone here with insider info
They may be lacking analytics but are not in crisis
Well I'm quoting the word I read in an article. Just wanted to see if there are people in Arizona that could confirm, or even just people that are aware of this.

Lol how is the word crisis defined here
Phx resident here. Here’s my take on the local employment situation overall. Wages haven’t kept up with the increased cost of living here and I read somewhere that dichotomy is more drastic than other parts of the U.S. Also, many employers are focusing on this market because they feel they don’t have to pay as much and we are a right to work state.
The suburban sprawl and traffic here is terrible and so is traffic. If you do take a job in the distant suburbs make sure you are okay living near that distant suburb, or prepare to spend an hour in traffic each way.
I haven’t noticed a significant uptick in data/analytics job opportunities here myself, but I’m looking mostly for remote jobs and considering shifting into a different racket entirely.

why would an entire state be in crisis over not having analysts?
