I recently received an Amex gold offer with SUB 80k points, however the corporate account with my firm has an offer at 60k plus $100 recurring statement credit if I apply for a personal card within the corporate account. Which one would be the better offer now? Based on basic math does this come down to whether I expect to stay with the firm for 2 years to make the extra 20k points lost worth it? I am sure this is a question with an obvious answer, but does anyone else just feel absolutely trapped in a job they hate because of their student loans? I’m three years out of law school and I still have $160K in student debt despite making aggressive payments. I work in a larger firm (not big law per se, but 250+ attorneys and big for the market).
