I spent a year in tax investigations where I believe I was thriving ( I was going to be an assistant manager in July 2023), I had a lot of assistant manager jobs, I even drafted a Code 9 report to HMRC which my manager said was 80% of an actual report, he then added the 20% and submitted it.
After I realised I couldn't maintain all the unpaid overtime I was working I decided to take a turn and go to compliance, so now I work in CT compliance. I feel very surpressed.

I think I may have made a huge mistake today. My skip level director sent out an email about something and asked us for feedback. I sent back a note and provided some. Help me understand something fundamental about altcoins. For those coins that serve as defi projects with real-world use cases, why do they need to be tradable, and why do they have a fluctuating market value? In other words, why is each particular application or idea based on blockchain also something that can be bought and sold by people who are not involved in the project?

Think this consolidation period is going to end in the near term, primarily driven by:

1. Microstrategy “open sourcing” their playbook for purchasing BTC as public company

2. Coinbase to offer staking for ETH in Q1 ‘21 - think how much will get locked up.

3. GME / stonks fallout - retail may moreso see the benefits of decentralization and crypto. Yes Coinbase is CEX to get you onboard, but DEX can’t be turned off.

Does anyone feel like these cryptos and short term real time pump and jump investments come at emotional and psychological cost? Money looks too easy and it gets frustrating when you just sold something that has been stagnant for days and the moment you sell it just skyrockets etc. just curious
