Hello All, I have one question. I was a fresher and joined one organization as external employee with third party payroll. I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. Hi, I recently came across Scaler's MS program, which offers masters degree in collaboration with Woolf University (European University). And, I am looking move to Canada in near future. Will the master degree offered through this course will be accepted by the education evaluation institute WES? If yes, is it considered as equivalent to Canadian Masters degree? 145k for a newly promoted M (assuming you’re homegrown) is within range, but definitely on the lower range. If you’re in management consulting and not MBB (which from your title you’re not), I would say M salary is between 140-170.

What type of consulting? FWIW, I work at Big4 as a second year manager in risk consulting and I’m at 142k/year.
If you are manager equivalent, yours is in the rough ballpark. YOE?
Graduated in 16 but had a par time role in industry all through college which rolled into my full time role once I graduated.
So 5 to 7 years depending on how you look at it.

I’m a manager 1 in a low-mid tier city and make that amount, I would expect a higher comp for tier 1/NYC.

It’s totally in line for 4 years out of school at a mid-tier firm.
Coming from a Big 4 based on Chicago it seems a little low for a Principal, in my old firm Principals are equity partners that are not accountants.

When people say total comp, does that include pension/ 401k contributions and other benefits, or just base and bonus?

It doesn’t usually include 401k contributions or pensions. Just base and bonus...and RSU if your company offers that.

Hold on, you were expecting a significant raise with a “promotion” at Slalom? How do your new job responsibilities compare to old? Ex. sales targets, people management?
New titles or not, Slalom comp growth tends to be on the low side. If you are looking for big4 type comp, you might need to deal with big4 type hours and stress...
$150k+ TC with under 5 years of experience sounds very reasonable to me.
Also... and I mean this in the nicest way... seriously doubt a big 4 would bring you on as a manger
To be fair it varies across the board. I would say you’re generally correct, but I’ve been at Slalom ~2 years and have seen my comp jump 17% since joining (and I left B4 with a 30% raise)
