I see a lot of new IIM grads at MBB. How are they treated? Does some kind of old IIM power play take place?

Question to MBB interviewers. I have a couple of interviews coming up and want to understand the process better and manage my own expectations. Could you please share your personal experience: 1/ what % of interviewees are obviously not a good fit - when after the chat you just know that they are wrong for consulting 2/ % made major mistakes in case 3/ what % are kind ok w case and fit, but are not good enough 4/% that are good enough (with minor flaws) 5/ great and you know that they will fit

I’m in need of some advice for my bridal shower. I’m trying to condense the list to help my mom & bridesmaids. We are inviting my fiancés coworkers and their significant others to the wedding. Need advice. I recently got an offer from a PE fund for the role of Pre MBA associate. It’s a relatively small fund but got recently backed by one of the bigger names. It is a contract role of 2 years which is structured as 1+1. Even though the compensation offered is twice my current pay and the role is interesting, I’m just not able to wrap my head around the contract nature of the job. Total 2 YOE

Hi Fishes, I have 6+ yrs of work experience. And have worked with big4 in past and post that I joined a startup which I left in 1 month because the role wasn't fit. Currently working at TechM from last 7 months and now I got an offer from one of the big4, but I haven't mentioned that 1 month in my resume neither that is being mentioned to TechM, I have positioned myself as not working.

My issue is will the background verification will create issue with new company.

We always keep hearing about the bad WLB in MBB, especially BCG. Want to know if it's actually true, or is it an untrue rumor spread by people who couldn't get into these companies.

(Note - I am talking about incremental WLB issues, over and above the issues at Deloitte S&O, Accenture Strategy, etc. as these issues are common in management consulting)
