This part is annoying, but the beauty is from the HR side non-responses to required forms are a compliance issue. I start to bug people, before I genuinely become a pain.
After 3 days - email follow up with a defined deadline. On the day of, I send a reminder. I’ll also send an IM message and if you’re using a tool like docusign - I resend the document.
I then send a past due reminder that same day when not received by email, send them an IM, re send the document and say it’s now a compliance issues which needs to be complete by tomorrow morning.
If that fails, I reach out to their manager, say “I’ve contacted Jon 7 times regarding this form and I don’t have anything back. I need your help, this is now a compliance risk. Can you please ask the employee to complete this now”.
And if they don’t complete it, I start to send reminders every 2 hours via IM, or I add them to a group chat with their manager and keep pushing. In this situation - escalation is your best path.
But yes, I have a mental list of people who are “frequent offenders”.
