Every year at Thanksgiving I invite clients to come to my office to make a food donation and I give them a pumpkin pie. It's great, because I only give something to people that make the effort to come see me, as well as make a food donation to the food shelter. It is a lot of goodwill, and the best part is I don't give anything to 1/2 of my clients except for a letter telling them I would give them something.
None. The end of my second or third year in the business, i spend a few hundred bucks on magazine subscriptions for clients. Most of them never even thanked me.So i stopped, except for one client, a big bond buyer, $5MM assets. I sent him a nice basket from Harry and David for a couple of years. But then i realized, (and saw) that i'm just a yield to him, if he found an extra 10 bps at a local bank or credit union, money would flow out as bonds matured. So fuck it. I give them a present every year. My services.
this is a pretty badass idea. I may use this.
How do you know how many pies to have prepared? Do they RSVP?I agree with the bolded part. You get some credit even from the ones that don't come."
Call your clients often and do well for them and gifts are not needed. Maybe donate $50 or $100 in their name to a favorite charity... I always do this in lieu of flowers for a funeral. The families notice.
