I'm currently looking for entry level opportunities in advisory. I'm fully licensed (SIE/7/63/65) and ready to start my CFP as soon as it's affordable or sponsored. I'm struggling to find opportunities that don't have a large emphasis on insurance sales. Anyone have any recommendations or opportunities?

I am an experienced, trustworthy, CFP®, actively looking to purchase a small to mid-size practice in the Chicagoland area. I am with LPL and part of a Hybrid RIA. I’m open to different acquisition options including partnership.

How to handle a toxic work environment? My team hired a new guy who has 0 experience and is younger than me, yet he was hired with a higher job title than me. I am fully licensed with my SIE/Series7/63/CFP (he has none of these). The firm makes these decisions but I am dumbfounded. I’m told if I want a higher job title I have to forgo overtime eligibility. Seems like a cop out answer.

I’m looking for a fully licensed FA with 3-5 years experience in the North Dallas,Tx area. Small BOB preferred.

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’ve been in the industry for 23+ years, 16+ of those spent as a Producing Branch Manager. I hold S7, S63, S66, S24 and I’ve completed the education for the CFP (need to pass the exam). I’ve only been on the full-service side for the past 2 years and my book of managed money is about $10M, with another $10M+ being self-directed by clients. I’d love to find an RIA job, what type of role would be suggested?

Was previously working as an advisor growing a nice book and left to move 18hrs away to be close to family. I was pregnant and desperate to take what would move us and now I’m a planner working for FAs and I’m making $130k. Anyone have any experience of beginning to take an ssri for anxiety/depression and the initial 5-6 days anxiety levels being through the roof and the inability to sleep. I started taking 50 mg of Zoloft (this is my third try at an ssri) on Monday and I’ve probably slept a total of 10 hrs since then due to it. My body has always been sensitive to medication so possibly that’s it - do I lower dose to 25 or just say screw it as I don’t know if my body/brain is taking a liking to this kind of medic

I don't know if I'll ever understand life insurance commissions. Chew on this, I sold a guy a term policy, annual premium was $585. I just checked my commission run and I got $630. Is this right?
