My situation:I have filled visa and waiting for it from few weeks with company A and don’t want to join then because I have better offer from company B. Company B wants me to withdraw my visa application so they can file a new one for me and they r telling me they can’t generate my CoS until I withdraw application. How shall I withdraw my visa until I don’t even have CoS from company B??
What is the culture like, type of work and reputation of Capco in the Data & Analytics space?
I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

I honestly don’t know that I believe in staying at a place because they counter-offered….

Staying probably means you have little to no leverage for anything ever again after you’ve accepted their counter-offer. I’d be curious to know if you asked for an increase before getting a new offer and how that was received. If this took them by surprise then fair enough. Worth staying if you’re happy but if you’ve tried and they are now only addressing it because you have another offer in hand, that’s a red flag to me. I’d also just think about the trade-off here. Is the new role/firm generally better? What do you gain or lose either way?
Depends on brand name difference, as that essentially is the cut you’d be willing to take in pay. Of course there is no guarantee of success in the new firm (not an ability piece but sometimes just personality challenges). I would say a 15% uplift would justify not moving as you’d be better if financially and in a company where you are well respected
Please tell us how it goes. So far I’ve only heard of very underwhelming counter-offers.

What you’ve heard is right, very underwhelming counter-offer. Around 5% increase on new offer.
If you’re otherwise happy in your team, I wouldn’t be shy about staying. Consulting teams can really vary expected working hours, skills, quality of your colleagues, etc. And especially if you have built a solid reputation at your current firm, that takes time and effort to build again.
Just be prepared for no real raises (possibly bonuses?) for a few years.

Weirdly care about leaving the new place hanging too, it’s a 40k headcount company so doubt they will care that much
