I have noticed that in a lot of companies they don't want to train but want to complain
Right now refresh your resume and start looking for a new job. If you are not properly trained, it’s not worth to stay there. It is also a very toxic environment when you are being shamed for taking time off. I worked 20+ years in insurance industry then retired because I had a new manager who Was ruthless and toxic. After I retired got my pension I looked for a position working from home. It took some time but found a non-toxic job and as soon as I started I requested time off and even 3 weeks vacation and my manager approved time off. I know it can be uneasy to start looking for another job but it’s much better to work in a place where it is not toxic
It really depends on the rest of your work history. If your résumé shows steady employment with just one short stint, that’s usually easy to explain, especially since a lot of agency owners can be pretty hands-off. But if your background shows a pattern of short stays and no long-term positions, it may be seen as a red flag. Just something to keep in mind as you make your decision. Hope that helps!
I did that for one year. Do you WANT to work in an insurance agency? Why? I did it to build job experience in a new state and to learn a few things about P&C. It was good for that, but the pay was bad, the training was close to invisible and the benefits were bare bones minimum. I can’t think that it would be any better if you move to a new agency. Maybe.
My advice would be that unless you really like selling policies and face to face customer service you should try another job. There are lots of jobs (relatively speaking) at the big corporate insurance companies. Why not go to one of them?
