I switched jobs as a second year (starting) SA, when they promised me a promotion to Manager in a year. Due to shitty internal politics and a very insecure (incapable) SM they kept staffing me with, it took me 2.5 years there to become Manager. Why didn’t I leave? Sunk cost fallacy plus Covid hiring freezes. Now I see people several years my junior at my level. I feel shit. And embarrassed. I feel like I have screwed my career completely here. I wish I could undo this all :(

Just began studying for the CFE exam. I have access to past editions of the ACFE Fraud Examiners Manual. Does anyone have recommendations on where to get good practice questions? I’d like to avoid spending a fortune on the ACFE kit.

My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

Our firm told everyone no bonuses this year due to the pandemic. However, people like myself with high utilization received a “bonus” in terms of a gift card. My director notified me of this, but the other day my boss was mentioning how no bonuses this year really sucks.
