I took a pause the last week in reaching out to CDs in my search for a job because of Cannes (thought my messages would not get noticed or a reply). Is everyone back at work now and will probably be more responsive? Idk maybe I was dumb for even taking a pause. It just seems very hard to get a response from an agency right now, or are summers also bad timing for job openings? I want to be strategic when reaching out.

Has anyone ever worked at an agency in which the project management department was properly utilized? I traditionally was brought up in my career where PM type tasks were handled by lower level AMs. I have observed separating AM and PM tasks into two separate departments just causes communication issues and lazy account people. Account people should have a good understanding of how much effort and time goes into a project. Project Managers are missing a lot of context so blind leading blind.
