Though of the same. I thought logistics will be more on transfers, loading and unloading stuff. But to my surprise you have to deal with paperworks too.
The logistic side is demanding. You will regularly have to deal with really shady, low brow individuals and will be held responsible for things that are completely out of your control.
Although the logistics industry is a complete madhouse, I'm delighted I'm receiving the trial by fire. I'll have earned my stripes if things ever settle down because it will feel sweet and simple in comparison.
The logistics sector is a dubious business. There is a lot of lying in this field. There are many unethical activities that take place. You'll succeed if you can navigate that kind of universe. If not, I would investigate other supply chain relations. Although I adore supply chain, the logistics side of it may put your morals to the test.
I work as a logistics coordinator. I work more in the background for my company, though. I deal with the freight companies to plan all the shipments, and I connect with the warehouse managers to make sure the right products are ready for pickup and to provide them the necessary documentation for pickups.
It would be highly recommended if you had the chance to work with an IT or development team to have a general understanding of how systems interact with one another.
I thought so too! The paperwork is so draining and exhausting!!!
